Dear Alameda Family Services Community

Alameda Family Services is committed to working to change values to end racism. We know that racism and brutality are devastating to the health and well-being of our nation’s Black families and all families of color and doing damage to all of America as a culture and society. As an organization that cares deeply about families and their futures, we want to say to all of our staff, fellows, friends, colleagues, and partners that we will do everything in our power to end discrimination and we fully commit to the fight to end structural racism.

Alameda Family Services pledges to do the work both internally and externally to address the prejudice, injustice and inequality experienced on a daily basis by our brothers and sisters of color. To this end, Alameda Family Services will convene a Diversity Taskforce, which will develop a comprehensive plan for addressing issues of discrimination and bias within the agency. The plan will also include community actions to advance and support the anti-racism movement.

We are all connected and we all rise through true equality.
