Early Childhood Therapist:

  • Under the supervision of the Program Director for Behavioral Health Care Services and the clinical supervisor, the Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist will use a relationship-based model to provide parent-infant and mental health services to families with children birth to seven throughout Alameda County.  The specialist will conduct observations and therapy in the child’s home, preschool, or at the AFS offices. For full job description click HERE


DPN Therapeutic Case Manager: 

  • The Therapeutic Case Manager position offers the opportunity to work within a fun, supportive team environment.  This position would be a great fit for a clinician interested in gaining and continuing their experience working with children, youth, and families within a community mental health agency, in the community, and school systems by providing therapy and case management services, providing outreach, and utilizing skills that require one to be detail-oriented. AFS is a non-profit agency that provides comprehensive supportive services to youth, families and children in the City and County of Alameda. These services include counseling for youth and their families; parent education classes; early childhood development and family services; drug and alcohol education, prevention and treatment programs; coed anger management groups; groups for men involved in domestic violence; sliding scale fee counseling; school-based mental health programs; shelter, advocacy, crisis intervention and case management for runaway and homeless youth; and high school health clinics.
