Hours of Service
Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The School-Based Health Centers utilize a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare in order to promote the health and well being of youth. The Health Centers, located at Alameda, Encinal and Island High Schools, serve students from ACLC, ASTI and BASE High Schools as well. By offering free medical, mental health, health education and youth development services on school grounds, the Health Centers surmount barriers that can prevent youth from accessing care. The Health Centers’ focus on prevention and early identification of risk factors aims to reduce barriers to learning and to support families and our community.
The School-Based Health Centers offer free and confidential medical care, mental health counseling, health education, and youth leadership opportunities.
Students attending any of the public high schools in Alameda are eligible to receive health center services at any site.
Students may call or drop in to the health centers during school hours to make an appointment.
All of the School-Based Health Centers services are free to students and their families. It is our policy to cover expenses by billing all possible third party sources. Students may be asked to register with Medi-Cal or Family Pact.
